SCOPE

PageLines-qlink_GWIZ.jpg

GWIZ (the Global Workforce Inclusion Zone) is CELIE’s signature diversity and inclusion initiative, focusing on the best of next practices relevant to the talent recruitment, retention, and leadership development requirements of the public and private sectors.  GWIZ supports a public-private exchange forum for globally relevant C-suite level diversity and inclusion leaders and relevant stakeholders who collaborate with each other and leaders in government to:

  • Identify best next practices across both sectors that can be shared
  • Share what’s working in ways that drive scale and the adoption of the best of next practices needed to meet the talent requirements of the future
  • Promote and support timely and sustained communications between and collaborative engagement of executive-level, high-touch and high-impact influencers and federal policymakers on issues related to diversity and inclusion
  • Ensure private sector practices and programs align with federal policy and objectives
  • Produce and disseminate reports and relevant findings for GWIZ members, Congressional members and heads of federal agencies
  • Provide scholarships, internships, education and training programs that support market demand related to recruitment, retention and other programs

FINDINGS

Numerous reports highlight and confirm dramatic developments associated with changing demographics. The combined changing composition of the global and US consumer and political markets reflect a world that is growing in its heterogeneity and ethnic and gender diversity. These population shifts are happening rapidly, indelibly and affect public policy, consumer patterns, voter composition, constituent services, business and marketing strategies for years to come.

Challenge

There is a growing and unmet demand in the US public and private sectors for high-impact diverse talent and scalable inclusion strategies.

Opportunity

In the area of diversity and inclusion, the public and private sectors have a unique opportunity to collaborate, share world-class “next practices” and address the challenges and opportunities associated with global trends and changing demographics.
